O4O holds foreclosure blockade presentations and trainings across the city this month

Organizing for Occupation (O4O), a group of New York City residents fighting evictions and foreclosures, is holding hold events in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx this month as part of its outreach to the CUNY community. The teach-in/trainings will discuss the role of blockades (as seen the videos below), which use singing, dancing, and other creative acts to interrupt auction of foreclosed homes. Several blockades over the past few months have managed to stop the sale of these homes.

Tuesday, April 12 – Manhattan – 6:30 – The CUNY Graduate Center, 365 Fifth Ave, Manhattan

Saturday, April 16 – The Bronx – 2PM – 851 Grand Concourse, Room 600
Tuesday, April 19 – Brooklyn – 3PM – 360 Adams Street, Room 224 –

Wednesday, April 20 – Queens – 11AM – 88-11 Sutphin Boulevard, Room 25
